Friends make cruel remark about Brosnan’s wife and weight loss surgery
It all started after legendary James Bond actor Pierce Brosnan, 69, and his actress wife Keely Shaye Brosnan, 58, (née Smith) celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary this month. The actor posted a throwback photo on his Instagram account.
“Happy Anniversary my love @keelyshayebrosnan,” Pierce wrote in a tribute to his wife on Instagram. “We danced that night and still dance the dance today. I could do it all again.”
Lots of followers on Insta were taken by the touching tribute and offered congratulations, filling the comment section.
Pierce first met journalist Keely back in 1994, in Cabo San Lucas a year before he made his James Bond debut in GoldenEye, heart.co.uk reported.
The pair went on to marry in 2001. The couple has two sons: Paris, 21, and Dylan, 25.
Pierce was previously married to actress Cassandra Harris, who died from cancer in 1991. they shared a son, Sean, 38, that he and Keely raised with their other two children. Pierce had also adopted his late wife’s two children, bringing his combined brood to five kids.
“Wherever I went in the world I missed her,” Brosnan told People later. “And I’d send her tickets to come so we could be together. We just seemed to fit.”
“I found a great woman in Keely Shaye,” Pierce added. “Not if I searched a million times over would I find one as good.”
Cruel responses on Facebook
But over on Facebook, it was a whole different crowd. Trolls were quick to make comments comparing the way Keely’s body had looked in her youth in comparison to her appearance now in her late 50s, Tyla reported.
As negative news quickly travels, there was a cruel, now-deleted post about the couple that went viral.
While we don’t know exactly what it said, Pierce’s response to it gives a good indication of its cruel suggestion.

The Irish-born actor came to the defense of his wife, remaining ever the gentleman while completely shutting down the harsh comments in the classiest way possible.
“Friends offered her surgery to reduce her weight,” Pierce wrote. ” But I strongly love every curve of her body.”
“She is the most beautiful woman in my eyes. And also because she had our five children,” Brosnan continued. “In the past, I truly loved her for her person, not only for her beauty, and now I’m loving her even more that she is my children’s mother.”
“And I am very proud of her,” Pierce added, “and I always seek to be worthy of her love.”
