Actor Keanu Reeves, 58, for decades, has been one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, with a string of hit movies to his credit. However, unlike many peers, he is not a publicity hound and is intensely private.
Due to his low-profile reputation, it was a really big deal recently when Reeves offered a rare look into his personal life, making a comment about his longtime friend and girlfriend Alexandra Grant, 49.
Recently, Reeves sat down with People magazine for an interview in which he was asked about his last moment of bliss.
“A couple of days ago with my honey,” Keanu replied, referring to Alexandra Grant.
“We were in bed,” Reeves elaborated. “We were connected.”
“We were smiling and laughing and giggling,” Reeves added. “Feeling great. It was just really nice to be together.”
The magazine also asked Reeves the last time he danced.
“At a friend’s wedding about eight months ago,” Keanu said. “Sometimes I’m the first out there and sometimes I need coaxing. Sometimes it’s the song and sometimes it’s the person. I just go with the feeling.”
Who is Alexandra Grant?
The first thing to know about Alexandra Grant is that she is dating one of the world’s biggest movie stars, a man who has been dubbed the “Internet’s boyfriend” – Keanu Reeves.
Grant is a visual artist who explores the use of text and language in various media, and her work has received lots of accolades from a wide array of publications, including the Los Angeles Times and Whitehot Magazine of Contemporary Art, People reported.
Grant is a native of Los Angeles, but was born in Ohio. She has collaborated with several well-respected literary pioneers and philosophers.
Although it is unclear when Grant and Reeves met, they are longtime friends, going back to at least 2011 when their debut collaborative book was published.
Grant collaborated on Keanu’s adult picture book, Ode to Happiness in 2011, where he was listed as the author and she was listed as the illustrator, BuzzFeed reports.
The pair collaborated on another book in 2016, titled Shadows.
The couple reportedly began dating in 2019, with their relationship going from platonic to romantic, the same year in which they also made their first red carpet appearance together.
