Ivanka Trump finally speaks out on dad’s indictment

Ivanka Trump is finally breaking her silence on her father Donald’s indictment, while her brother Eric says he was on a commercial flight when the news broke and reveals the shocking way passengers reacted to him.

Ivanka Trump breaks silence on father’s indictment

Throughout the course of speculation about whether Donald Trump would be indicted by a New York grand jury, Ivanka Trump has remained stoic, taking it all in, while not weighing in on the matter. Until now.

On Friday, Ivanka finally broke her long-held silence to share her thoughts and opinion on what the indictment means to her personally, as well as what she believes it means for America.

Ivanka kept her feelings brief and to the point, summing up her thoughts and just three sentences using 27 words, BuzzFeed News reported.

“I love my father, and I love my country,” Ivanka wrote in her Instagram Story. “Today, I am pained for both.”

“I appreciate the voices across the political spectrum expressing support and concern,” Ivanka added.

Ivanka’s post comes one day after her father, former president Donald Trump, was indicted by a Manhattan grand jury on more than 30 counts related to business fraud.

Because grand jury proceedings are secret, the indictment was filed under seal, and the specific charges are not publicly known at this time. However, Trump is expected to appear in court on Tuesday, and an announcement on all charges is expected to be made, CNN reported.

Eric reveals the shocking way airplane passengers reacted to him midflight when indictment news broke

Eric Trump, 39, the youngest son from Donald Trump’s marriage to Ivana, said he was on a commercial flight when the news broke about his father’s indictment, Yahoo News reported.

The reaction of his fellow passengers came as a shock. Rather than a chorus of boos, the way other passengers reacted to Eric was totally unexpected.

“I was on a plane,” Eric told Fox News, regarding where he was when he first heard the news that his father had been indicted.

“I was on a commercial flight when this whole indictment broke,” Eric recalled during an interview on Saturday. “People were coming up to me, giving me hugs.”

“The support is unbelievable out there,” Trump declared. “People understand that we’ve literally become a banana republic, that they’ve made a mockery out of our legal system in this country.”
