Cristiano Ronaldo’s salary is reportedly a king’s ransom

At the end of 2022, Portuguese soccer sensation Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract with Manchester United was terminated, after a dramatic fallout with the team’s management, making him a free agent.

Shortly after the World Cup, the 37-year-old soccer legend signed with Saudi Arabian soccer club Al Nassr for an alleged record-breaking salary, CNBC reports. Multiple outlets have cited Ronaldo’s salary with Al Nassr at around $200 million per year when commercial agreements are included. If this amount and agreements are confirmed, they would represent the largest-ever salary in the history of professional soccer.

Cristiano Ronaldo is living like royalty in Saudi Arabia

When it comes to soccer, Cristiano Ronaldo is already royalty in the sport. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest footballers of all time, but after signing with the Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr, he’s also living like royalty.

While Ronaldo has not yet purchased a home in Saudi Arabia, a variety of outlets have reported Cristiano and girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez are currently living in the Kingdom Suite at the Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh, Sports Illustrated reported. The Four Seasons hotel is part of the 99-story, 302.3-meter (992 feet) tall Kingdom Centre, the 5th tallest tower in Saudi Arabia.

According to a description on the Four Seasons website: “Our newest two-story suite spans the 48th and 50th floors of the Hotel, with a soaring living room, a private office, a dining room and a media room.”

It adds: the Kingdom Suite has “unparalleled views of Riyadh”… and “carefully curated modern art throughout.”

The “Kingdom Suite” has 17 rooms and reportedly costs Ronaldo £250,000 a month, according to the Mirror. The couple shares the suite with their five children – Cristiano Jr., Eva, Matteo, Alana Martina, and Bella Esmerelda, The Daily Mail reported.

Ronaldo and his family have hotel chefs providing him with exclusive in-room dining services, which include “the best of dishes from China, Japan, India and the Middle East, with the freshest ingredients to order.”

In addition, within the hotel, there are luxury shops and designer boutiques such as Gucci and Louis Vuitton, tennis courts, a spa with massage treatments, a sauna, and a steam room.

Reportedly, the family’s stay in the luxury hotel is only temporary while they search for a more permanent place to live.
