Woman Claims She Is ‘An Investment’ So Boyfriend Pays for Everything

The story of a young woman from London is going viral after she made a controversial statement. She claims that her Canadian boyfriend considers her “an investment,” and as such, he pays for everything she needs.

Woman claims she is “an investment” for her boyfriend

When it comes to planning for your future, along with stocks, bonds, and other assets that provide financial stability, emotional stability cannot be overlooked. And one young man has made his partner “an investment,” too.

That’s according to a young woman in London named Hannah Chan, who recently went viral as she told the world in a video that her boyfriend pays for everything because she’s “an investment” for him, LADBible reported.

Hannah, 27, was previously driven by her career. She had gone on many failed dates, but nothing had worked out in her romantic life. She also recognized that career pursuits were not making her happy. She came to realize that she would be much happier having a life partner who could support her instead of the other way around.

Mr. Right?

As fate would have it, it seems that “Mr. Right” came along in the form of Canadian and fellow business owner Ed Reay. He first reached out in May 2021, and they finally met in July 2021. The pair were getting along so well that he ended up moving to London in September 2021.

As the relationship became more serious, their roles began to change.

“I started to realise that in a relationship I didn’t want to be the dominant one and I wanted someone who could provide for me,” Hannah says. “Before I had always viewed my business success and money I earnt as my value in dating, but I realised I didn’t want that.”

Striking up an investment agreement

“Ed, he told me he wanted to provide for me,” Hannah says. “It naturally came up that he wanted to be someone who could provide.”

They worked out a deal.

“We have a 100/100 relationship,” Hannah claims. “He provides financially, and I give him 100 percent when it comes to support and love and little things like bringing him a smoothie after a stressful day.”

“There is no right and wrong in dating,” Hannah continued. “The most important thing is that your values align between you and your partner for what you want in a relationship.”

In the deal, Hannah is responsible for managing the house, and Ed takes care of the finances.

“So it was perfect,” Hannah says. “I’ll sort the cleaner and do the cooking and food shopping.”

Behind every successful man is a woman

Whether one believes that old saying is sexist or not, many men are more successful with the support of their partner. And in Hannah and Ed’s case, it seems to be true.

“Ed doesn’t value money the most,” Hannah says. “He values being supported and cared for.”

“He thinks of me as an investment as I’ve supported him,” Hannah continued. “And it’s meant he now makes three times what he used to earn.”

Ed weighs in

“In our relationship I see it as the man’s job to provide the house and the woman’s to make the home,” Ed said.

“Being a provider gives me a sense of responsibility and gives life meaning,” Ed added. “I love being able to spoil someone I love, but you don’t need to have lots of money to do that.”
