After 100 agonizing days in the neonatal intensive care unit, the daughter of musician Nick Jonas and actress Priyanka Chopra has finally made her public debut at the Jonas Brothers’ Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony.
Harrowing experience for the first-time parents
When musician Nick Jonas and actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas welcomed their first child via surrogate, the baby would spend her first 100 days in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
Malti Marie Chopra Jonas was born on January 15, 2022, but it wouldn’t be until May and almost Mother’s Day before the little girl’s homecoming would take place, People reported.
Malti was born via surrogate in a San Diego hospital. However, she arrived a full trimester before her due date and was “smaller than my hand,” Priyanka recalled.
“I was in the OR [operating room] when she came out,” Priyanka said. “She was so small, smaller than my hand.”
“I saw what the intensive-care nurses do,” Priyanka added. “They do God’s work. Nick and I were both standing there as they intubated her. I don’t know how they even found what they needed [in her tiny body] to intubate her.”
Then it would be a stressful 100 days.
“I didn’t know if she would make it or not,” Priyanka recollected.
When baby Malti finally arrived home, Nick thanked the staff at Rady Children’s La Jolla and Cedar Sinai, Los Angeles hospitals, “who were there selflessly every step of the way.”

On January 30, 2023, the three brothers from Wyckoff, New Jersey, known professionally as pop rock band The Jonas Brothers, were inducted to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, ABC reported.
Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra Jonas chose The Hollywood Walk of Fame star ceremony honoring The Jonas Brothers as the moment to debut their adorable one-year-old baby daughter, Malti, to the public for the first time, CNN reported.
“To my beautiful wife, you are the calm in the crazy, the rock in the storm, and I love being married to you. It is the greatest gift. I love being a parent with you,” Nick Jonas said. “Malti Marie, I can’t wait to come here with you in 15 years and embarrass you in front of your friends.
Joe Jonas’ wife, actress Sophie Turner was there, as was Kevin Jonas, his wife Danielle Jonas, and their two children, Alena and Valentina. Joe also gave a shout-out to his two children at home: “Daddy loves you to the moon and back.”
