King Charles wants Harry back – but what about Meghan?

Despite the shocking allegations about royal life Harry made in his autobiography “Spare,” a source says King Charles wants the prince to attend his coronation this May.

Source says King Charles wants Harry “back in the family”

In Prince Harry’s biography “Spare,” currently #1 this week on Amazon, the Duke of Sussex made a number of shocking revelations about royal life, accusing the family of abuse, lies and racism against his wife, Meghan.

Yet, despite this airing of dirty laundry and the shaming allegations in the book, the royal family made no statement following the release of Harry’s the bombshell memoir.

In fact, a source close to the household is now implying the family is willing to forgive and forget.

King Charles wants his younger son to be in attendance at his coronation on May 6, the source told People.

“It is such a momentous occasion for Charles, and he would want his son to be at the coronation to witness it,” according to the source. “He would like to have Harry back in the family.”

“If they don’t sort it out, it will always be part of the King’s reign and how he has left his family disjointed,” the source added. “He has had a reputation as a distant parent, and it would be awful for him for that to continue.”

What about Meghan Markle?

A palace insider told People that both Harry and Meghan would be invited to the coordination.

However, a source close to the Sussexes tells a different story, stating that an invitation to attend the coronation has yet to be extended. Further, there has been no movement toward reconciliation, either.

Despite the royal family’s alleged willingness to forgive and forget, it appears Harry has not changed his initial position on what has caused the fracture in the family.

“The problem is that [the Sussexes] want a capitulation and apology by the palace, but when ‘recollections vary,’ that’s quite difficult,” the source clarified.

Last month, ITV asked Harry whether or not he would attend the coronation.

“There’s a lot that can happen between now and then,” Harry replied. “But, you know, the door is always open. The ball is in their court.”

“There’s a lot to be discussed, and I really hope that they are willing to sit down and talk about it,” Harry added.

What caused the split between Harry and the royal family?

It all began in the winter of 2018, when Harry and William seemed to have a falling out. The rift occurred around Christmas, when Harry told Will he wasn’t doing enough to include Meghan in the royal family, Cosmopolitan reported. However, Charles reportedly stepped in and asked William to make an effort.

Video also surfaced that seemed to show William seemingly ignoring Meghan as she tried to talk to him during a family walk.

In October 2019, Prince Harry admitted there was a royal rift.

Then, in January, things really exploded after Harry and Meghan announced they were stepping back from their senior royal duties. Things rapidly went downhill from there in June when Harry made the decision to leave England.

The September 2020 announcement that Harry and Meghan signed a multimillion-dollar deal with Netflix had the Royals livid. But the big kicker was the March 2021 tell-all interview between Harry, Meghan and Oprah that left the royal family “in total shock.”
