Harry and Meghan EVICTED

Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markel, have been asked to vacate their home in Britain, suggesting a further fraying of ties between the pair and the family – is the royal feud escalating further?

Harry and Meghan EVICTED from their home by royal family

Amid preparations for the coronation of King Charles III, Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan, have been asked to vacate their home at the Frogmore Cottage in Britain.

The sudden eviction notice is suggesting a potential further fraying of the ties between the couple and the family. Some are now speculating that the royal feud is escalating further.

The order to vacate is not a rumor, as a spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex confirmed to Fox News Digital in a statement that the couple has indeed been asked to vacate their residence Frogmore Cottage.

Frogmore Cottage is located on the grounds of Windsor Castle, west of London. Before the couple decided to give up their royal duties and moved to Southern California, the cottage had been intended to serve as the couple’s main residence, the Associated Press reported.

In 2019, Prince Harry, 38, and Meghan, 41, ahead of the birth of their son, Archie Harrison, moved from Nottingham Cottage on the grounds of Kensington Palace in London to Frogmore Cottage, People reported.

Couple had renovated home at taxpayers’ expense

According to reports, a couple had spent around $3.2 million in British taxpayers’ money to renovate the home while they were working members of the royal family. However, when they made their decision to step away, a spokesperson confirmed in September 2020 that the couple repaid the entire amount and “fully covered” the cost of the renovation.

Why was the couple asked to leave?

The cottage was intended to serve royals, and with Harry and Meghan no longer involved in royal duties, Prince Charles reportedly offered Frogmore Cottage to Prince Andrew last week, The Sun reported.

The Sussexes are reportedly now drawing up plans to ship their remaining belongings from the five-bedroom Windsor home to the United States.

Allegedly, only days after Prince Harry’s controversial memoir Spare was released, King Charles began the process of booting the Duke and Duchess of Sussex out of the cottage.

Has the eviction inflamed the royal rift?

Speculation has run rampant that the eviction of Harry and Meghan would only further inflame tensions within the royal family.

However, a friend close to the couple says the pair are taking it in stride, Yahoo reported.

“It is what it is,” the source said. “They are not fighting it. They realize they have a home [in California]. They have a roof over their heads.”

“They were very privileged to have a second residence,” the insider added. “It’s not going to work out for them there, and that’s OK.”

Although Harry and Meghan received an official invite to King Charles III’s coronation on May 6, reports say the couple has yet to confirm whether or not they will attend.

Even though they no longer will have a UK residence of their own, rumors say Harry and Meghan may be offered Prince Andrew’s vacated rooms at Buckingham Palace, providing the security they need.
