One-third more Americans, two out of three likely U.S. voters, said they believe Congress should hold investigative hearings about last summer’s “Black Lives Matter protests that sparked violence” than think lawmakers should be probing the riot at the capitol on January 6, according to the latest survey by Rasmussen Reports, the Daily Wire reported.
Support for Congress investigating BLM riots and violence as a priority showed a majority in the pool along all racial lines, including 67% of white voters, 64% of black voters, 66% of Hispanic voters and 62% of voters from other minorities.
Across political lines, 75% of Republican voters, 60% of Democrats and 63% of voters not affiliated with either major party also said Congress should investigate last year’s violent protests.

The Washington Post reported that at least 27 people died as a result of the riots.
