‘Dances With Wolves’ actor charged with horrific crimes

A former actor who appeared in the film “Dances with Wolves” was arrested by Las Vegas police over accusations of assaulting young indigenous girls over two decades. He is also alleged to be a cult leader.

The home of “Dances with Wolves” actor Nathan Lee Chasing His Horse, who goes by Nathan Chasing Horse, was raided by Las Vegas police on January 31 amid allegations he was a cult leader and had assaulted young indigenous girls in both the US and Canada over two decades, ABC 27 reported.

After Nathan was taken into custody near his Las Vegas home, which he is said to share with his five wives, investigators searched for evidence for hours inside the home, KLAS reported.

Nathan Chasing Horse, 46, is facing charges of human trafficking, assault against a child younger than 16, and child abuse.

Chasing His Horse is charged with eight felonies, and prosecutors filed an additional felony charge after detectives discovered what they said were videos saved on the phone showing the assault of a minor.

After his arrest, a judge determined he must be held without bail until his next court hearing.

Alleged cult leader

According to Nathan’s IMDB biography, was born on April 28, 1976, in Rosebud Reservation, South Dakota, and is a member of the Rosebud Nation, Lakota Sioux Tribe.

According to a New York Post report, it alleged Nathan is a polygamist with five wives and leads ‘The Circle,’ a cult where he presents himself as a medicine man and healer who communicates with spirit beings.

Canadian police are pursuing their own criminal case against Nathan Chasing Horse

Nathan is also accused of crimes in Canada, which includes one count of assault in 2018 in the British Columbia village located near the US border, Yahoo reported.

Sgt. Kris Clark of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police told the Associated Press that an arrest warrant for Chasing His Horse in Canada was issued two days after his arrest in Nevada.

Nathan’s daughter stands with victims

The estranged daughter of the actor, Quannah Chasinghorse, a model who has appeared on the covers of Vogue Mexico and Vogue Japan, spoke out in support of the victims. Quannah says she’s had minimal contact with her father and was raised by her mother and stepfather, Yahoo reported.

“I stand with the victims of Nathan Lee Chasing His Horse,” Quannah said. “I honor the immense courage it takes for survivors to tell their stories, especially publicly.”
