Casey Anthony Blames Dad For Daughter’s Death In New Documentary

Casey Anthony, the mother of Caylee Anthony, who went missing for weeks until her skeletal remains were found in 2008, and who was found not guilty, now blames her father in the death of the 2-year-old in a new documentary.

Casey Anthony blames her dad for daughter’s death in new documentary series

Eleven years after being cleared of the murder of 2-year-old Caylee, in her first on-camera interview, the now 36-year-old mother says of the death of her daughter, “all comes back to my dad.”

George Anthony, 71, Casey’s father, was one of the prosecution’s key witnesses against her.

Casey claims her dad repeatedly raped her growing up, the New York Post reported.

“He’d put a pillow over my face and smother me to knock me out,” Casey claimed. “I’m sure there were times where I was incapacitated as a child, where my body was limp and lifeless.”

The new three-part documentary series entitled “Casey Anthony: Where The Truth Lies,” premieres on November 29 on Peacock.

In the documentary, Casey now claims that the last time she saw her daughter was in her father’s arms on June 16, 2008, The Daily Mail reported.

Casey says after she woke from a nap, she asked “where’s Caylee?” She said her father appeared with Caylee in his arms, who was soaking wet and unconscious.

George Anthony has always denied abusing his daughter or having anything to do with Caylee’s disappearance.

In unfounded claims, Casey alleges that her father abused her as a child, then “moved on” to Caylee.

The case of Caylee Anthony held America spellbound

The mysterious death of 2-year-old Caylee Anthony was a case that captured the attention of America and a final verdict that left people shocked and wondering if justice had been served.

Mother Casey Anthony, 19, gave birth to daughter Caylee Marie Anthony on August 9, 2005. Prior to that, Casey repeatedly denied her pregnancy. The identity of the father has never been revealed publicly, CNN reported.

Caylee was reportedly last seen alive on June 16, 2008, as Casey drove away with her daughter following an argument the previous day on Father’s Day.

Roughly one month later, on July 15, Casey’s mother, Cindy Anthony, reported to police that Caylee was missing.

After learning a family car used by Casey has been impounded, her father, George, retrieves the car and is overwhelmed by a smell in the trunk that remains after a trash bag is removed, Biography reported.

TV news plays a rather curious statement by mother Cindy: “It smells like there’s been a dead body in the damn car.”

On July 16, Casey leads investigators on a pair of wild goose chases. The first searching for a nanny named Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez, who allegedly ran off with Caylee on June 9. The second to Universal Studios, where Casey pretended to have a job. Authorities arrest Casey and charged her with child neglect, lying to investigators, and interfering with the criminal investigation.

From there, months of investigation followed. In August, air sample tests indicated human remains had been found in Anthony’s vehicle’s trunk.

Casey is indicted on capital murder and other charges in mid-October.

In December, skeletal remains were found in a wooded area near the Anthony home and are identified as Caylee Anthony.

The trial of Casey Anthony and shocking verdict

In April 2009, prosecutors said they would seek the death penalty for Casey Anthony. Opening statements began on May 24, 2011.

Throughout her trial, Casey does not testify.

On July 5, 2011, a jury made of seven women and five men deliberated for 10 hours and 40 minutes. They found Casey Anthony not guilty of first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse, and aggravated manslaughter of the child. Instead, Anthony is found guilty of four misdemeanor counts of providing false information to law enforcement.

On July 7, 2011, Casey was sentenced to four years in jail with credit for time served and fined $1000 for each count. She was released from jail on July 17.
