60% of Americans Disapprove of Biden, Makes Dire Statement on Ukraine

The latest survey finds 60% of Americans disapproving of President Biden’s job performance, with a majority saying “he’s done nothing,” as inflation surges to 7.5%. In contrast, he says the U.S. will not rescue Americans from Ukraine.

Nearly 60% of Americans disapprove of Biden’s performance; the majority say “he’s done nothing

Nearly 6 and 10 Americans disapprove of President Joe Biden’s job performance in the latest poll from CNN, conducted by SSRS in January and February.

Most respondents said, “There’s literally nothing Biden has done since taking office that they approve of,” CNN reported.

In the poll, 58% disapproved of Biden’s handling of his presidential duties, while only 41% approved.

Further, 57% said the first year of Biden’s administration has been more of a failure than a success.

His approval rating on handling the economy sits at only 37 percent, while inflation has soared to a 40-year high of 7.5%. Only 18% said they “had a lot of confidence” in his ability to deal with the economy.

Only 45% approve of Biden’s handling of the pandemic. Only 25% “had a lot of confidence” in his ability to lead the country out of the pandemic.

Inflation hits 40-year high at 7.5%

The consumer price index (CPI) for all items rose 0.6% in January, bringing year-over-year inflation up by 7.5%. The rise marks the biggest gain in inflation in 40 years, since February 1982, CNBC reported.

At the same time, actual earnings for workers only increased by 0.1 percent. The rise in core inflation was 6% and was a notch above Wall Street estimates, which the Dow Jones estimated at 7.2%.

Analysts see the rise in CPI as a worsening of the outlook for inflation and view the prospect of substantial interest rate hikes this year as highly likely.

Biden tells Americans to get out of Ukraine; signals U.S. won’t use troops to rescue if Russia invades

President Joe Biden warned any Americans remaining in Ukraine to leave as Russia continues to threaten an invasion. The comments came during an interview with NBC anchor Lester Holt.

“American citizens should leave now,” Biden said. “It’s not like we’re dealing with a terrorist organization. We’re dealing with one of the largest armies in the world. It’s a very different situation, and things could go crazy quickly.”

Holt asked Biden if a scenario could prompt him to send in U.S. troops to rescue Americans fleeing the country.

“There’s not,” Biden replied. “That’s a world war when Americans and Russia start shooting at one another.”

“We’re in a very different world than we’ve ever been,” Biden added.
