A maid of honor was told she could attend her best friend’s wedding but that she would not be allowed to appear in any of the wedding photos. The woman recently explained the situation in a post on Reddit.
After hearing the reason why, the maid of honor is no longer sure whether she will attend the wedding at all, The Mirror reported.
The maid of honor gave the bride some wonderful news about an event in her life, only to get a reaction she never expected.
What was the happy news?
The woman told the bride she was pregnant and would be showing heavily by the time of the wedding.
“I told my best friend last week and she seemed upset,” the maid of honor said. “She wasn’t too happy that I was pregnant and her first question is if I would fit in my bridesmaid dress.”
“The dress is extremely flowy,” the woman replied. “I should be just fine, and if not, I’ll cover the cost of any alterations/buying another dress.”
The maid of honor noted that she bought her dress in the first place.
“Like literally her first question [was about the dress],” the maid of honor noted. “Not even congratulations [about the pregnancy].”
“This is my first baby and I have struggled heavily with fertility issues so this is a literal miracle baby,” the woman said. “My husband and I had literally just given up hope in trying for a little while this past summer.”
Then things took another turn with a phone call from the bride-to-be.
“Today she called and told me she had a “hard decision” to make but she’s been thinking about it and while she would like to keep me Maid of Honor, she doesn’t want me in her pictures,” the woman explained. “She said that my bump would be too distracting, she didn’t want her pictures to turn into a “maternity photoshoot” and that she just didn’t feel comfortable with it.”
And there was another potential “ban” on the maid of honor brewing.
“She was debating if she still wanted me to give a speech,” the woman added.
The bride-to-be still wanted the woman’s help in planning the wedding and paying for some of the hen party, she just did not want her in the pictures.
Now the maid of honor is considering dropping out of the event if her friend is going to treat her this way.

A groom-to-be explained that he has uninvited his best friend from attending his wedding, and some people believe that he is justified in his reason for doing so. The man explained the situation in a Reddit post.
The soon-to-be-married man said he has been with his current partner for six years and they are getting married early next year.
But the issue over uninviting his best friend has to do with the guest list. When he saw the “plus one” his best friend wanted to bring to the wedding, that was a dealbreaker for him. And some people agreed with the groom.

His best friend wanted to bring the future groom’s ex-girlfriend.
“I broke things off with my ex of about 1.5 years just before moving abroad,” the man explained.
“One of my best friends back home recently (6 months or so) started dating said ex,” the man continued. “When he told me he is now with my ex, I didn’t have a problem.”
However, when his best friend wanted to bring her to the wedding – that was a problem.
Neither the groom nor the bride felt it was a good idea for the ex-girlfriend to come to the wedding.
“He [best friend] was told he can come but without her,” the man said.” But he said he wouldn’t, so was not sent the formal invite.”
Many commenters supported the groom-to-be, agreeing it was not right to have the ex there, The Mirror reported.
