A mother of two who believed she had found her “soulmate” was so enamored that she left her husband of 14 years to find love, but got a huge surprise as her would-be lover rejected her.

It started at a dinner party. A mom of two attended a gathering, and a meal with her husband, where she met a man that would inspire her to make a life-changing decision – one she believed was true love.
Amanda Trenfield describes the moment she met the man she truly believed was her soulmate, the New York Post reports.
“As I settled into my seat, I looked up and immediately lost my breath,” Amanda wrote. “When our eyes met there was an instant familiarity that ran deeper than water-cooler chat.”
“These eyes had locked before,” Amanda explained. “Twelve years earlier. His name was Jason. I hadn’t forgotten.”
While not explaining the circumstances in which she previously met Jason, Amanda expressed he made her swoon. She struck up a conversation with him.
“Over the course of the evening, my attraction to Jason developed,” Amanda says. “I soon became aware of his every breath, and I unconsciously mirrored his pace.”
“I caught myself, embarrassingly, looking at his chest through his slim-fitted white evening shirt,” Amanda continued.
Amanda said the pair continued talking and drinking into the night, and her attraction to Jason intensified as the hours went by.
“By the time the group left the restaurant late in the evening, all my senses were on high alert,” Amanda says. “It was abundantly clear that the energy between Jason and me was somehow charged.”
Then as the evening ended, Amanda made her move. As she gave Jason a goodbye hug, she whispered into his ear: “This isn’t over. I need to see you again.”

After that evening, Amanda’s feelings for Jason only grew.
“I knew in my heart, in my soul, in the very fabric of my being that I had profoundly changed,” Amanda says. “The connectedness I experienced with Jason was at a level impossible to describe. I knew for certain that this one encounter… had dramatically altered my life.”
Less than a month after the dinner party, Amanda ended her 14-year marriage, despite having no further communication with Jason since that evening.

Amanda Trenfield wrote about her experiences in a new book entitled “When A Soulmate Says No.”
Based on the title alone, we know that Jason rejected Amanda. But the excerpts released ahead of Amanda’s new book aren’t telling us the all-important “how” or “why.” Obviously, that intrigue is intended to prompt people to buy the book to get those answers.
Also surprising, Amanda reportedly works as a “life coach.”
Ridicule on social media, but has some supporters
The mom of two is now being mocked on social media after revealing that she left her longtime husband to be with a man she believed was her “soulmate” only to be rejected by her lover.
Many of the critics are calling her a “self-destructive sociopath” and others say the rejection by her would-be lover is karma for her throwing away her marriage.
However, some critics say she left a marriage that had obviously already failed or needed to end. Supporters state that if the marriage were solid, she wouldn’t have been swayed by someone else. They even speculate that her former husband is probably happier now, too.
