You’ve probably never heard of this Disney secret society, but you’ve no doubt seen the results of this group’s work at Disney Parks throughout the world. Now they may be getting their own film involving Ryan Reynolds.

Unless you’re a real Disney devotee, you’ve probably never heard of The Society of Explorers and Adventurers (SEA), also called the Disney SEA.
But whether you realize it or not, you’ve seen the results of this group’s work at Disney parks throughout the world, inside the magic reported.
Who is this secret society? Like their name implies, they are literally a group of explorers and adventurers who have helped out in the development of many of the theme park’s attractions, such as The Jungle Cruise, The Haunted Mansion, and Big Mountain Thunder Railroad.
It all goes back to a now-defunct lounge at Walt Disney World, The Adventurers Club. It was styled after a private club for world travelers and explorers set in 1937 and was designed and created by Walt Disney Imagineering in the late 1980s.
It seems to be inspired by an actual “Explorers Club” founded in New York in 1904, which had chapters later in Chicago, Los Angeles, and Honolulu.
The Disney version of the club featured animatronics, puppets, and a cast of adventurers who performed in shows and improvisational comedy.
Now the company is honoring them with a film
Adventurers Club film to involve Ryan Reynolds
While Disney has yet to “officially” confirm the film’s production, word has already spread like viral wildfire around the Internet stating that it will be written and directed by Qui Nguyen, who co-directed another Disney film (Strange World). The film will be produced by Ryan Reynolds.
This Disney theme park lore film is set to be life-action, with Nguyen writing the film and Reynolds serving as producer, Collider reported.
At the time of this writing, no actors have been cast in any roles, and it’s yet to be revealed if Reynolds will have an on-screen role. It said the project is intended to mark the launch of a franchise.
The movie will feature some of the main characters of the club, such as Harrison Hightower III, a corrupt member who has stolen numerous artifacts, Captain Mary Oceaneer, and Lord Henry Mystic, an English aristocrat.
One assumes many of the other well-known characters will also be included, such as Barnabas T. Bullion, Dr. Albert Falls, and Camellia Falco, Yahoo reported.
