Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe and longtime girlfriend Erin Darke announced they are expecting their first child after being together for a decade and first sharing the screen in the 2013 movie Kill Your Darlings.

A representative for Daniel Radcliffe confirmed that the 33-year-old Harry Potter alum and his girlfriend of more than 10 years, Erin Darke, 38, are expecting their first child.
Previously, Radcliffe told People that the couple is “really happy” together.
“I’ve got a really nice life,” Radcliffe said. “I’ve been with my girlfriend for a decade, pretty much.”
While the couple has kept their relationship mostly out of the public spotlight, Darke did accompany Radcliffe on the red carpet of his movie premiere of “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story,” back in September, People reported.
The couple first met onset in the 2013 movie Kill Your Darlings. They worked together again in 2016 in the movie Don’t Think Twice, as well as in the third season of Radcliffe’s TBS series Miracle Workers.
“We definitely like [working together], but it’s not something we want to do all the time,” Radcliffe said.
“Hopefully we’ll get to do more in the future, but we also both write,” Radcliffe added. “So maybe we’d write something together at some point, and that would be cool.”

While Radcliffe became an international star at the age of twelve, he has been clear he doesn’t want such a future for his own child, BuzzFeed reported.
“I wouldn’t want fame for my kid,” Radcliffe told Newsweek in an interview last year.
“I would love them to be around film sets,” Radcliffe elaborated. “A dream would be for them to come onto a film set and be like, ‘God, you know, I’d love to be in the art department. I’d love to be something in the crew.'”

Daniel Radcliffe and his longtime girlfriend Erin Darke first met when they were both filming the 2013 drama Kill Your Darlings, a drama about the college days of beat generation poets. Radcliffe played the gay famed poet Allen Ginsberg. Erin Darke played the role of Gwendolyn. She’s best known for her roles in the Beach Boys biopic Love & Mercy and the TV series Good Girls Revolt, Dietland, and Moonshine.
Darke was born in Michigan in 1984 and has 49 acting credits.
