Brazilian Woman Who Fell in Love and Married Ragdoll Welcomes ‘Child’

A Brazilian woman, who complained of being single, fell in love and “married” a ragdoll at a ceremony of 250 people that was also live-streamed and, now, a doctor and nurse have delivered the couple’s first “child.”

Welcome to a world where anything’s possible

In these interesting times in which we live, it seems that anything is possible in life and in love…

Meirivone Rocha Moraes, a 37-year-old woman, from Brazil, complained to her mother about being single and having no one to dance with, the Daily Mail reports.

Out of sympathy for her daughter, her mother got out the needle and thread and created a life-sized ragdoll, named Marcelo, in order to give her daughter a companion, Metro reports.

The mother’s efforts paid off. Meirivone says she “fell in love” with her stuffed companion, even calling it “love at first sight.”

“When my mother made Marcelo and first introduced me to him, I fell in love with him,” Meirivone says. “It was love at first sight.”

“It was because I didn’t have a forró dancer,” Meirivone continued. “I would go to these dances but wouldn’t always find a partner.”

“Then he entered into my life and it all made sense,” Meirivone added.

A wedding to remember

After Meirivone and Marcelo the ragdoll had a whirlwind romance, it only follows that this love that could not be denied would find its way to wedded bliss.

The couple had a traditional wedding that was attended by 250 guests, and also live-streamed.

“It was a wonderful day for me,” Merivone said. “Very important, very emotional.”

“From the moment I walked down the aisle to the end, it was just beautiful,” Merivone added.

An exciting honeymoon followed, where the couple spent a week at a beach house in Rio de Janeiro.

The couple consecrated their marriage, then anxiously awaited to learn if Meirivone would turn up pregnant–and, apparently, a few months later she was.

“He got me pregnant,” Meirivone claims. “I took the test – it was positive. I couldn’t believe it.”

Couple welcomes ‘child’

In this fascinating world of endless possibilities, Meirivone, the bride of a ragdoll, announced the “birth” of the couple’s first “child.” She did so by live-streaming her delivery to a private online audience of 200 people.

Photos show her on a delivery bed with a doctor, nurse, and two other attendees.

“I didn’t feel the contractions in pain,” she said of the delivery. “Seeing the placenta and the umbilical cord and the blood made it all real.”

Happily ever after?

Merivone isn’t shy when it comes to bragging about what a great catch Marcelo the ragdoll is.

“Marcelo is a great and faithful husband,” Merivone boasted. “He is such a man and all women envy him.”

“He is a man I always wanted in my life,” Merivone continued. “Married life with him is wonderful. He doesn’t fight with me, he doesn’t argue and he just understands me.”

However, for everyone, married life is rarely perfect and this couple’s relationship is no exception.

Merivone does have one complaint regarding her ragdoll husband.

“He has so many great qualities but the only downside is he’s lazy,” Meirivone confessed. “He doesn’t work at all.”

Meirivone admits the couple is struggling to pay the bills, as she is the only breadwinner.

“But I am a warrior,” Meirivone proudly stated. “And I keep it going for us.”
