Alien-Like Creature Washes Up on Australian Beach

It’s the stuff of nightmares. An unidentified creature, alien-looking, with its hideous skull exposed, humanoid hands, and a long tail washed up on a Queensland beach. Authorities are trying to unravel the mystery.

Creepy alien-like creature washes up on Australia beach – what is it?

A local man out for a morning stroll along the beach in Queensland, Australia, was shocked to find an alien-like creature washed up on Maroochydore Beach, with a reptile-like skull, forelimbs, clawed humanoid hands, and a long tail, news.com.au reported.

Only weeks after floods hit the area, Alex Tan was walking along the shore near an area known as Cotton Tree Beach. The beach is located about 63 miles from Brisbane, on the Sunshine Coast, TweakTown reported.

Suddenly, Alex was startled to spot a strange creature, dead and washed up in the sand. Its entire skull was exposed, and all the hair seemed to be missing from its flesh. At first glance, the dead thing – whatever it was – wasn’t immediately apparent as anything coming from this earth.

Alex snapped photos and videos of the bizarre sight and posted them on Instagram.

“I’ve stumbled across something weird,” Alex wrote on Instagram, captioning the video he posted. “This is like one of those things you see when people claim they’ve found aliens.”

“It was just after we had all that stuff washed up on beaches from the floods,” Alex continued. “It looks like a de-haired possum but different to anything I’ve seen.”

“Its hands were really weird. I’m just calling it an alien,” Alex added.

“I thought it was a three-meter flatty or something but as I got closer, it looked like a cross between a dog, a possum, a kangaroo and some sort of giant rat,” Alex told 7NEWS.com.au. “Maybe something had come along and had a little nibble of it. I just think it’s some sort of deformed possum.”

Alex said he went back to the beach later that day, but the creature had been removed, India Times reported.

Makes bets at pub with others to identify mysterious creature

Later at a pub, Alex made a bet with other patrons at a pub. He offered to buy anyone with a better explanation a chicken parmigiana meal. Alex initially said he believed it could be a possum, although he was still unsure exactly what the creature was.

“I want to put the deal out there – if it’s not a possum I will shout that person a chicken parmy,” Alex said.

The Daily Mail reported that people who reacted to the Instagram post online had different ideas about what the creature was, including a Joey kangaroo or wallaby, due to its features and small size.
