A 33-year-old mother of 12 children, who gave birth to her first child at 16, has been pregnant for nearly 17 years straight. Now she says she’s finally “done” with having kids – but her husband still wants more!
33-year-old mom of 12 kids has spent nearly 17 years continually pregnant
Britni Church, 33, from Arkansas City, Kansas, was only 16 years old when she had her first child in 2004. Since that time, she has been pregnant on and off for nearly 17 years and has birthed 12 children.
In an interview with the Today show, Britni says she has been pregnant for nearly the entirety of the past 17 years, excluding the years 2013, 2017, and currently in 2022. All totaled, in the last 17 years of her life, Britni has been pregnant for nearly 98 months.
Britni has six children with her husband Chris, 30. They share Silas, 7; Christopher Jr. 5; and 3-year-old triplets Oliver, Asher and Abel, and Rowyn, 11 months.
Britni also has six children from two previous relationships, the Daily Mail reported, including Crizman, 17; Jordan, 16; Caleb, 14; Jace, 13p Cadence, 12; and Jesalyn, 10.
All totaled, Britni has five girls and seven boys.
Mom answers a few FAQs
As one would expect, the cost of supporting a family of 14 gets expensive, they spend $200 every month on milk alone.
Britni provided answers to some of the most common questions she gets asked.
“A lot of people assume we’re on welfare — we’re not,” Britni said.
“I get a lot of questions like, ‘Are you Catholic? Are you religious?’” Britni continued. “I’m Pentecostal, but that has nothing to do with why I have so many.”
Regarding her deliveries, Britni says she is often asked how she is doing “down there.”
“They were all vaginal except the triplets — with them I had a C-section,” Britni explains, adding there is no reason she wouldn’t be able to carry another healthy pregnancy.
12 is enough: Mom says she’s “done” – but husband still wants more!
“I think I’m done,” Britni said with a laugh, during the interview. She added that her husband Chris would gladly have more.
“There’s always noise,” Britni said, speaking about life in their household. “Someone is always screaming, but it’s just normal for us. I’m able to drown it out somehow.”
“We are happiest when we’re all together,” Britni continued. “We’ve got a big waterslide and we’ve been having cookouts and sitting around the fire pit. Life is good.”
